This weekend a local church hosted a fund raising Christmas market.
The weather all weekend was cold, rainy and generally gloomy but the market promised visits with Santa, cookie making, carolers and Christmas shopping all inside a heated tent. Sold! BC and I went out for brunch in the neighborhood and walked over to the market.
The weather certainly seemed to keep the crowds away. It worked out for us- they were trying to unload an abundance of gingerbread man cookies! Normally I wouldn’t care too much. But they were gingerbread man cookies from Dinkel’s Bakery. If you have been to Dinkel’s you know they don’t mess around. Dinkel’s does a cookie right.
What’s a gingerbread man without hot cocoa? Fine. Twist my arm.
I found a fun birthday gift for my Mom (fancy tea cup/steeper/thingy).
And what we all came for? SANTA!
How old were you when you found out Santa wasn’t really coming down the chimney on Christmas? Growing up celebrating Hanukkah, I never drank that kool aid but I kind of wish I did!

What, Santa won’t be coming down my chimney?!
I love me some Dinkels! My b-day cakes are always the hazelnut butter-cream from there.
I went to this too, SO fun! I may have had a little too much to drink/eat, though. Hashtag lush.
Hope you’re having a great New Year!
